Client / Customer:
Pacific Energy Connected (PEC)

Property Details:
136 Makland Drive, Derrimut
7,603 m² freestanding high clearance office warehouse with multiple RSDs

Background:
Pacific Energy Connected engaged Facey Property to secure and relocate their new office warehouse in Derrimut. PEC, a division of Pacific Energy owned by QIC, was established to expand the company’s clean energy initiatives on Australia’s east coast.

Relocating from 150 Australis Drive to 136 Makland Drive was critical to Pacific Energy’s growth along the eastern seaboard. With over 40 years of experience, Pacific Energy provides sustainable, distributed energy solutions and is actively involved in the clean energy transition, integrating solar, wind, green hydrogen, and battery storage technologies across nearly 50 sites nationally.

Requirement:
Facey Property worked closely with Managing Director Mark Sinclair to identify a property that could meet PEC’s operational needs, including:

  • Corporate office space for current and future staff

  • Parking for more than 60 employees

  • Flexibility to accommodate growth over the next 10 years

Outcome:
Situated in the Paramount Estate, 136 Makland Drive offered:

  • 1,100 m² of office space over two levels

  • A total warehouse area of 7,603 m² plus canopies

  • Large canopies and truck access for logistics

  • Land area of 13,154 m², allowing separation of truck and car access and excellent outdoor storage options

The property met all of PEC’s requirements and was leased on a five-year term with options at a competitive annual rental of $130/m² net. This relocation supports PEC’s ongoing operations and growth while providing the infrastructure needed to advance its clean energy initiatives.
