Client / Customer:
Summit Global Logistics

Property Details:
Part of 60 Annandale Road, Melbourne Airport

Objective:
Secure a space for flexible bonded logistics warehousing to support a national freight forwarding operation.

Background:
Link Property were assisting the client with their property needs in Sydney. The companies requirements to expand and enhance their interstate operations became a priority in Melbourne, and Facey Property were able to connect them to suitable options.

Requirement:
Summit were leasing multiple warehouse units within a complex known as Cargo Park in Tullamarine. Part of their operations consisted of a bonded warehousing specific to legal requirements when handling imported freight forwarding products. They needed to remain close to Melbourne airport.

The required size was circa 2000m² and they needed to consolidate existing tencies all under one roof and deal with multiple lease expiries so were ideally seeking something flexible on lease terms.

Outcome:
Facey Property provided a range of options in the general area with one 60 Annandale Road standing out as the most suitable option. The property is located within the Melbourne Airport Business Park, approx. 15km north west of Melbourne CBD.

The property has a total building area of 11,276m² and has a head lease in place to ‘Great Wrap’ who was not utilising the whole facility. They had two available areas with one being 1900m² which suited.

Given there was a head lease in place they were able to secure the premises on flexible terms of 12 months with a further option (rare for a property of this scale). There is a further 2400m² available in the premises that Summit may also elect to absorb in the near future providing future expansion security.
